What Happend? I miss the OLD Maroon 5.

Hello, im a maroon 5 fan- or at leased I used to be. Maroon 5 USED to be about music. Now all it is about is money, popularity, and mindless screeming. I dream of a day where people didn't worship sex, I dream of another "Songs about Jane" day. That day was amazin- I could actually feel the music, unlike the new CD. So Maroon 5, Im dissapointd in you. Very, very dissapointed.

Everyone always fall in Love with a groups first album. Thats how you discovered them. Of course the album makes it special to you, but Maroon 5 other albums are just as awesome in their own way. They have to move on guys, no one can continue to do the same thing over and over again and be successful. Do you really like Maroon 5's music, do you really like Adam Levine's voice? If the answer is Yes then as with me nothing they have done has disappointed me. There's something in SAJ, IWBSBL, HAO and OVEREXPOSED that can capture every true music fan. I have all 4 of their albums and each one have its own special quality. So expand your music vision and let them do their thing. I yeah I like the sexy part as well.

Bands mature and evolve! SAJ is my favorite album of ALL TIME.. but you have to admit IWBSBL has some gems on it! Good Night Good Night.. Back at your door??  And SAJ had sex in it too Secret??  Its is different.. yes it is. They are more fashonable, but when you get a little older you sometimes you dont want to dress sloppy. i adore songs about jane and that's why i love maroon 5. but their new album is just.. i don't know.. it is good, i can't say it's not, but, i just can't compare it with saj.. saj is THE BEST album i've ever heard.. and i thought that the new album would be similar to it.. but...

Maroon 5 is amazing. I love the new album just as much as the first. And what's wrong with sex and being sexy? You don't get any sexier then Adam. He's an awesome singer and happens to look good doing it.I think his added sex appeal makes the music even better.

well iwbsbl is totally different to saj but must say I prefer the new album.Maybe its just the guys have grown and experienced new things I mean I'm the same age as Adam and guys in band, when saj was out I could relate to them songs which where more lovey dovey in my opinion.Now I'm 28 it does seem iwbsbl is more fitting for my life soundtrack lol cos as you get older things piss u off more I think and you're less likely to look though life with rose tinted glasses.I love "not falling apart" off iwbsbl, still a love song and obviously won't go home without you.I don't know their new album seems more mature.

I won't say that I prefer Songs About Jane to It Won't Be Soon Before Long ebcause I'm not sure i do. I loved their sound on the first album and like Adam said, the new one's just a more confident kind of music. However, I do admit that I would've liked a little bit less of sex and little bit more of something like love in IWBSBL. SAJ was more sweet, I think.

I dont know about yall but if the music came out the same as SAJ i'd have been a little disappointed. the progression of LPs and wat not is to show the growth of an artist. Be happy that they are even still able to make music!

for example (iono if yall would get this though) Outkast...when they first came out they were all thuggish and made GREAT music, but it was slightly conforming to the look of other rappers at the time. Look at them now! Now that they've est. their place in Hip Hop, they can do whatever they want and still be repescted.....this is why they can wear cracy Golf outfits in Lime Green and make songs like HEY YA and still get respect.

That's essentially what i think M5 did. They came out, did their thing, and now that they have their roots est. they can now be themselves. Adam said himself IWBSBL is more Maroon 5 than the first one. So if you dont like it....looks like you dont like the real them! Sorry you feel that way! =/

Believe me:i miss the old m5 too...{especially SAJ}.....they changed their style and.....but u know what?if we're great fans...its cool. i mean...iwbsbl is great! great job. its sad that people are so SHALLOW/SUPERFICIALS!( SR, MY ENGLISH)

Well,I feel just like dreamsofyesterday does:I used to be into the songs,put them into my life,comparing them with it.I couldn't do that to some of their new songs.

But I also feel like adamheartlevine:they're still my favorite guys out there,even though they're not the same anymore.

you shouldnt be dissapointed,if you're a maron5 fan! Im agree with you, i kinda miss the old m5.i miss SAJ style a lot :(..sometimes i look back and remember who they used to be at the begining.but you have to use with it. They moved on a different/ higher"area". so their music,style and popularity! Be happy for them and enjoy their new album which is amazing! Even if the style is a bit improved, they're still maroon5! bigger and stronger and fresh like never been!:D
they'll be my favourite BAND for life!!
