Maroon 5 On The Today Show (07/02/2010)

Hi,

someone is going to record that show? Cant wait to hear the Song "Live", hoping it will sound much better than the studio version :) Here in Germany we cant watch the Today Show :( So i need the help of you people on here, i think the downloadqueen will help us out here i think? :) Would be very nice :)

I agree with you all that it sounds much better live and they sure improved the performance from the early days.
Still, I hope Misery is not representative of the whole album, because it sounds too much like IWBSBL and I thought they said they were going back to their SAJ-sound. I like them more rock and less main stream catchy pop..
I have to say I really dig the bass line and the rythm of Misery, but overall it's too similar to IINSYFA.

Yeah, I thought they did a great job with this live. I was scared that the bass was going to be dummied down, but it wasn't. Of course, they didn't show enough of all the other guys as far as I'm concerned. Did you notice the cowlick in the back of Adam's hair? Haha. Made me laugh. I liked Mickey adding handclaps (at least his hair wasn't sticking up the way it often does). And Adam's singing has DEFINITELY improved. Listen to some REALLY old live stuff (check out some of what's on 'In The Raw' - like from Amsterdam 2004 or the old Philly Halloween show from 2003) and you really can tell how much he's worked on his voice, not only in the studio, but he's so much stronger and on key live. He can belt it out better than ever. I love when he goes for his lower register. It's so smooth.

I've often used the phrase "comfortable in their skins" when describing the live shows I've seen. They just seem so happy on stage together.

I couldn't really hear the guitar but that was probably just my computer. And I really have to say that Adam improved his singing...or maybe I haven't heard him sing live for a veeeery long time lol
