I emailed RS a couple days ago asking which British vendors will stock the issue. I'll post as soon as I know.
As to the aricle itself, it does sound quite Adam-weighted but I perhaps the other guys shun being asked too many questions or perhaps don't elaborate very much? After all Adam gets the paparazzi crap along with being main spokesperson for the band...I'm only hypothesising here but I would have thought that Mickey, James, Jesse, Matt and Ryan would have made their feelings known during the interview process if they felt they were truly being left out in the cold. Not going to say any more until I have actually read the article!

Here are the links to my scans. For some reason when I post them on this site they shrink and these are hard enough to read when they are full sized. Also, my scanner isn't big enough for a full RS page so I split them. Please copy/paste the links into your browser and then copy them to whatever image viewer you have to zoom in to full size.
Enjoy!

Haha ... good bargaining skills! Don't forget about Red, Grazia and OK (WTF?!) magazines too!
I'm with Evelina on this ... I'll wait until I see the mag properly.
Nice pic though ... not sure why Adam keeps looking like a demented stalker ... but nice one of the rest of the guys.
Oh yes ... and CONGRATULATIONS TO MAROON 5! They must be soooooo chuffed, bless them. x

Shame the journo didn't just hang out with the band playing poker (a la Friday 10th DVD). I think some great quotes could have been added from an experience such as that. As features go, pretty good and it didn't simper too much... I think I'd still like to buy the mag though so hopefully I should be able to get it in the UK soon.
Thanks again, must have been fun trying to scan it so every word gets on the page :)
I'll do the same with our UK publications when they come out over here. ---------- I think M5 and the Fratellis should co-headline on a European tour. Music fan heaven...(at least for me:)

This was supposed to be about the process, anticipation and pressure of Maroon 5 to equal, or better, the success they had with SAJ. It wasn't supposed to be about Adam, his house, his father's clothing stores, his living in a hotel, etc. He's NOT a solo artist yet and if that was the case, this is the way the article would be written, where you mention a few random friends of his to spice up the story. To me this was just "Adam Levine and Four Guys He Argues With" and nothing more.
Second, regarding Ryan's input. At least he was given the common courtesy of being allowed to have his say in print unlike the other boys. What transpired between Ryan and the original band is BETWEEN Ryan, the band, other key interested parties on both sides and no one else.
My thoughts on what Ryan said - I'm glad that he was given the chance to contribute to the article and speak his mind about how he felt when leaving the band and the manner in which he left. I'm happy that he let it be known that it was not an amicable split as the original four had the fans believing. But I'm most impressed with the dignified manner in which Ryan touched on that sensitive matter without coming down on any of the others. Another person (especially NOT a rock star) would not have been as charitable in a similar situation. He may have been knocked off the branch of one tree but he never left the forest and he did a good job letting the fan know that point too. ---------- "Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war!"

Extremely well said. I think that's what Skye and I have been trying to say in this thread. Like we said, there's NO WAY it was that amicable a split. Give us a f***ing break and a little bit of credit.
It's like when I draft separation agreements for people. There's always a "non-disparagement clause." The leaving party can't say anything bad about the company and vice versa. It's almost like that happened here (though of course I don't know that). They made it sound like it was all wine and roses, but in the real world that's a load of crap.
Ryan did a great job picking his words wisely. He certainly sounded more intelligent and respectable than Adam. I would say he sounded better than the others, but since the others were barely quoted, I don't have enough information to form such an opinion.

I think it's the band's way of keeping balance (for paying fans at least) because they know that between Adam's personality and his place in the band, he's bound to get the most attention (and he likes it). ---------- Stalking is for celery.

No matter how good the instrumentals, if the singer's voice irritates me, I'm walking away. And conversly, I'm very attached to voices I love.
Adam - I'm glad you got the recognition you deserve for your singing in ROLLING STONE!!! ---------- Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a [post on a Maroon 5 message board] is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae.

None of them are crazy about doing chats with the exception of James and Jesse. The last chat with Adam which was a few years ago, wasn't even Adam. One of the other guys pretended to be Adam because he didn't want to do it. It was pretty obvious too because a die-hard Adam fan asked a question, she new the answer but the person posing as Adam . . . WRONG ANSWER! You lose! You get nothing! Good day, sir!
